Blogs from school!

I visited a blog from a first grade classroom at Butlerville Elementary School. I think a classroom blog is a good idea. The blog can be used to keep parents interested and involved in their children's school activities. This blog explained some things that were being taught in the class at the time. Specific concepts from different subjects were blogged aboout such as using calculators in math and phonics in language arts.

News events are also posted in this blog including a spelling test being canceled and an upcoming Christmas party. The blogger suggests that parents continue to help their children at home so they can get the most out of what they are learning at school.

Parents and students alike can benefit from a blog like this.
